Voyager DE-Pro (Biocpectrometry Workstation) An Applied Biosystems Voyager-DE Pro (Biospectrometry Workstation) MALDI-TOF MS Workstation is available to meet the needs of OSU's research and extension communities. The DE-Pro Workstation is an integrated system capable of automated high-throughput protein identification as well as more focused studies to identify and characterize individual proteins, peptides, and other analytes. The mass spectrometer component of the workstation includes numerous advanced features that will allow researchers to perform exquisitely accurate molecular weight determinations on fmole amounts of polypeptide. Additionally, the mass spectrometer is capable of post source decay analysis to facilitate studies of posttranslational modifications and de novo sequencing. In addition to the mass spectrometer, the Workstation includes a MassPrep robotic protein-handling module for high-throughput sample preparation. ÄKTAexplorer™
The industry standard for fast method development and automated multistep protein purification
* Integrated automation * Optimized for method and process development * Multidimentional purification
Beckman Biomek 2000: To help out with repetitive pipettng tasks and manipulation of libraries that accompanies microarray production, a Beckman Biomek 2000 automation station is available to researchers. Normalization Wizard software is also available to generate a BioWorks method to automatically generate concentration-normalized copies of DNA sample plates. (User's Manual - PDF)
ABI 7300 Real-Time PCR System: This system combines thermal cycling, fluorescence detection, and application-specific software to provide an integrated platform for the detection and quantification of nucleic acid sequences. Real-time PCR reactions run in 25–100 µL volumes using 96-well plates, individual tubes or 8 tube strips and can be completed in under two hours. Four-color detection provides enables a variety of applications, including precise measurement of changes in gene expression, pathogen quantitation, SNP genotyping, and plus/minus assays that utilize internal positive controls.
